Moja Expressway Company, the operator of the Nairobi Expressway, has announced new job vacancies for toll attendants and light vehicle drivers, giving qualified Kenyans an opportunity to join the company.
In a recruitment notice issued on Monday, November 2, the company invited both male and female applicants to apply for the toll attendant positions. Interested candidates have until Friday, November 6, to submit their applications.
The company clarified that applications must be submitted exclusively through its official careers portal and warned applicants against individuals demanding recruitment fees.
Moja Expressway toll attendant jobs: Requirements and qualifications
Applicants seeking the toll attendant positions must be aged between 20 and 35 years.
The company requires candidates to possess a Bachelor’s degree, Diploma or an equivalent professional qualification from a recognised and accredited institution.
Other requirements include:
- Basic computer and IT skills.
- Basic mathematical skills.
- Ability to operate computerised toll systems.
- Knowledge of point-of-sale equipment.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends and public holidays.
Duties and responsibilities of toll attendants
Successful candidates will be responsible for collecting toll fees from motorists using the Nairobi Expressway.
Their duties will also include assisting customers and ensuring smooth traffic movement at toll plazas.
The company noted that the positions require individuals who can provide good customer service, handle transactions accurately and work in a fast-paced outdoor environment.
Moja Expressway announces light vehicle driver vacancies
Apart from the toll attendant positions, Moja Expressway has also advertised vacancies for light vehicle drivers.
According to the recruitment notice, successful applicants will operate company vehicles to transport staff, visitors, documents, goods and other authorised items.
They will also be responsible for maintaining the vehicles, observing traffic regulations and supporting the company’s daily operations.
The application deadline for the light vehicle driver position is Saturday, November 7.
Qualifications for Moja Expressway driver jobs
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Have attained O-Level education.
- Be fluent in both English and Kiswahili.
- Possess a valid Kenyan driving licence (Class B, C, C1 or above).
- Demonstrate good customer service skills.
- Be capable of working in a fast-paced outdoor environment.
