Drama at Ruto’s State House: Man Arrested After Attempting to Force Entry
A man got himself arrested after allegedly trying to bust his way into State House by Gate D in Nairobi and that set off a bit of a security scramble at this highly restricted facility.
It all went down roughly at 1.32 on Sunday afternoon, October 4th 2026 when officers from the General Service Unit who were manning the gate spotted the bloke making a beeline for the restricted area.
As per the police report the chap was behind the wheel of a tuk-tuk at the time he allegedly tried to force his way through the gate.
Man Arrested at State House Gate D
Apparently he ignored the GSU lads when they told him to pull over and just kept on coming at the barriers near the gate at a pretty fair clip.
Security stepped in just in time to stop the tuk-tuk before the suspect could get through to the bit of State House that’s off limits.
He got nicked and taken in for questioning as the investigation got underway to figure out what exactly was going on.
Suspect Told Police He Wanted to Meet President
In the questioning session, he told the cops he wanted to have a meet with the President.
But it turns out he hadn’t so much as booked an appointment to see the President.
The chap is still in custody at this point while the investigators continue looking into his story and whatever his plans might have been.
They’re trying to get to the bottom of it all and figure out what was really on his mind.
Security Heightened Around State House
Following that particular incident, there was a swift escalation of security around the area, security bods saying they were on high alert to nip any potential threats in the bud.
To start with, we dont know for sure whether President Ruto was actually at State House at the time of the incident but he did fly back in to Nairobi on the Friday evening after a spell checking out the Coast region
All this is happening against a backdrop of already heightened security around State House, and follows another fairly serious incident at the very same gate way back in 2025.
Previous Attack at Same State House Gate
Just to jog your memory, on October 10th 2025, a police officer working out of State House got himself killed by some scoundrel at Gate D along Dennis Pritt Road
His name was Ramadhan Matanka, and he was a GSU officer
As a result of this, Kithuka Kimunyi Musyimi ended up getting nicked & charged with his murder
What Happened to GSU Officer Ramadhan Matanka?
Court docs show the whole thing went down at State House Gate D along Dennis Pritt Road
Prosecutors claim Musyimi turned up at the gate pretending to be just some ordinary street dweller, but hid a bow & some arrows under a blue sack
Apparently he then went & shot Constable Matanka in the chest he just ran off after that
The poor chap was rushed off to Kenyatta National Hospital but sadly didnt make it
State House Attack Suspect Pleads Not Guilty
In April 2026, Kithuka Kimunyi Musyimi pleaded not guilty to the murder charge as far as that court case is concerned, the murder allegations are still very much up in the air
The latest business at Gate D has once again put the spotlight on the security arrangements around one of the most heavily guarded gov buildings in the country
At this stage the authorities are trying to get to the bottom of the Sunday incident to get a handle on what the suspect was after, & what they should do next
