Former Playboy model Kelsey Turner, 29, was sentenced Tuesday to 10 to 25 years in prison for killing her 71-year-old lover after she broke up with him.

California psychiatrist Thomas Burchard, convicted of manslaughter in 2019, accepted a statement from Alford, who in November 2022 agreed to plead guilty to second-degree murder in court but remained innocent.

Fox News reported that Turner and her boyfriend, 29-year-old John Logan Kennison, were arrested on March 7, 2019 after they found Burchard’s body in the trunk of an abandoned car on State Route 147 near Lake Mead outside Las Vegas.

According to KTNV, police said Burchard traveled from California to Las Vegas, where Turner, 25, was trying to end their two-year relationship, where he offered her approximately $300,000 to foot for her lifestyle.

Burchard’s girlfriend , showed that Turner stole the money by forging Burchard’s signature.

Prosecutors said Turner and Kennison killed Burchard in the house and hid his body in the trunk of Turner’s Mercedes.

The Clark County Coroner’s Office concluded that the physicist was struck by an unidentified object, which police described as a characteristic pattern.

Diana’s roommate Nicole Peña, 34, pleaded guilty to aiding and abetting murder in July 2019 after testifying she helped clean up the crime scene before fleeing Las Vegas with Turner and Kennison.

Kennison pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and conspiracy last July and was sentenced to between 18 and 45 years in prison.

As part of a deal with the prosecutor, Turner would be eligible for parole after 10 years.
