Volker Turk, who is a United Nations High commissioner for Human rights has condemned the brutal murder of LGBTQ activist Edwin Chiloba.

In a statement on his Twitter post, Volker says he has been shaken by the murder of human rights advocate Edwin Chiloba.

He explains that it fills him with deep sadness, adding that he standing in solidarity with #LGBTQI+ activists around the world.

He added that urgent need to redouble efforts for their protection.

“Shaken by the murder of human rights advocate #EdwinChiloba, fills me with deep sadness, standing in solidarity with #LGBTQI+ activists around the world. Urgent need to redouble efforts for their protection.” He said.

Police in Bomet found the body of a top LGBTQ activist Edwin Chiloba who is a fashion designer inside a metal box.

Police have since arrested the killer, Jacton Odhiambo who allegedly killed him.

An alleged reports say Edwin Chiloba was killed by his on lesbian lover in a love gone sour.

Jacton Odhiambo has confessed to the killing of the fashion designer.

Police are still looking for two more suspects in the murder case.
