A forensic specialist based at DCI’s Forensic Fingerprint Identification Bureau is battling for his existence at the Kenyatta University Instructing and Recommendation healthcare facility after being assaulted by armed gangsters this morning at Kahawa West, in Nairobi, DCI reports.

Joseph Mwange, was going to his house accompanied by his spouse from a party in Roysambu at about 4am. when gang accosted them alongside Kamiti road, near Jacaranda property.

Posing as police officers, the thugs flagged down Mwange’s car and asked him exactly where he was headed to.

In reply, he informed them that he was headed residence not miles away and they allow him to move forward.

But unbeknownst to the investigator, the thugs trailed his vehicle so when he discontinued to open the entrance to his house in Maziwa property, one of those thugs opened fire and shot him before escaping into darkness.

His spouse, hurried him to Kenyatta University hospital where he is at present accepted in the Intensive Treatment Device in a critical situation.

A contingent of sleuths from DCI specialized units has since been sent on a manhunt for the armed gangsters.

According to DCI, minute of arrest is nigh.

The Director of Investigations Mr Mohamed Amin, wished detective Mwange, quick healing and sends his family members a message of comfort due to unfortunate incident.
