Nick Salat, former general secretary of the Kenya African National Union (KANU), said he would support President William Ruto.

Salad, who joined state leaders at a prayer meeting in Bomet County on Sunday, announced that he had cut ties with the Independent Party and its leader, Gideon Moy.

Salad was suspended last year due to allegations of violating the constitution of the party.

“Wherever you go, I will go . Please take me back,” Salat pleaded.

Salat, a former Member of Parliament for Bomet, greeted those gathered at the Bomet Stadium.
