Oga Obinna Breaks Silence on Migori Komando’s Arrest After Helicopter Stunt
Media personality Oga Obinna has publicly defended Obisalom Komando, now widely known as “Migori Komando,” following his dramatic stunt during musician Prince Indah’s high-profile wedding.
The incident occurred as a helicopter transporting Obinna and other guests was departing from the venue. In a surprising move, Komando clung to one of the landing gears as the aircraft ascended.
He was carried a short distance into the sky before the helicopter’s occupants noticed him. Upon discovery, the pilot took action, and Komando was eventually released mid-air. Remarkably, Komando later boasted about his physical strength, claiming he could have reached Nairobi without assistance and saw no reason to be returned to the ground.
Several days after the event, authorities apprehended Komando at his residence in Rapogi. According to Uriri Sub-county Police Commander Enrico Lyomu, Komando resisted arrest, prompting three officers to subdue him.
He is currently in police custody and is expected to face charges related to endangering his own life as well as the lives of those aboard the helicopter.
In response to the arrest, Oga Obinna expressed his support for Komando. While acknowledging the potential risk, Obinna emphasized that no one was harmed and questioned the need for legal action.
He appealed for leniency, suggesting that Komando be forgiven, especially since it was his first offense. Obinna further stated that the young man had learned from the incident.
He also pledged to contact Migori County Governor Dr. Ochilo George Ayacko in hopes of intervening on Komando’s behalf.
“Someone let me know the police station he is at. Let it be a lesson, but he should be forgiven this time. Sending him to jail won’t solve anything now,” Obinna remarked.
