Last night, intelligence officers confiscated fake liquor bearing counterfeit KRA marks from an apartment building in Ruai; DCI reports.

More than 200 cases of thousands of bottles of fake liquor destined for local markets have been seized by liquor dealers following a high-profile tax evasion scheme.

Counterfeit drinks whose safety cannot be guaranteed to consumers are bottled in popular local brands such as Kane Extra, Trace Vodka, Konyagi, Blue Ice, Kibao Vodka and Chrome Vodka.

A alcohol mixer and a counterfeit KRA brand were also found.

The suspect, Teresia Nyokabi Ngatia, was arrested during the operation and is currently awaiting indictment at the Kamulu police station.
