- Terrorist burns priest in Niger
In an attack on Kapin Koro Parish in Paikoro Parish, Niger State, Pastor Isaac Arka of St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church was burned alive early Sunday morning by bandits.
The robbers are said to have attacked the parishioners at around 1 a.m. and began firing intermittently on their way to the pastor’s house.
According to a member of the community who posed as Paul, the bandits split into two parts: some went to the official residence of a Catholic priest, while others remained in the village and were shooting to avoid any interference.
Paul explains that when the thugs couldn’t access Achi’s apartment after a long time, they set the building on fire and waited until the building was reduced to ashes with him inside.
The division’s police says they were contacted but were unable to reach Achi prior to his death.
