The Cabinet Secretary for Trade, investment and Industry Hon Moses Kuria has this afternoon, joined the @EAPC_PLC Cement Factories during the launching of a new (Green Triangle Cement) a product that seeks to minimize carbon emissions.

This, he says, is plan among others that seek to drive the company to regional leadership and innovative products.

“I want to assure East African Portland of my personal commitment in turning the company around so as create more Job opportunities as well us boosting the growth of our country’s economy.” He said.

Kuria noted that his ministry is open to collaborate with strategic partners who can contribute to turning our country into an economic hub. He spoke this when he graced the opening of a new Stanbic branch where the ministry of Trade has long-standing partnership that was anchored in an Mou signed in 2021.

kuria claimed that kenya’s MSMEs are vital to our country’s economy. They contribute upto 40% of kenyan’s GDP. My is committed to not only empower them but also build resilience to ensure that we have a sustainable economic growth.

“I appreciate the role of Stanbic Bank has played In financing and contract guarantee in the implemention of the Nairobi express way public-private partnership project (PPP).

“My ministry will work with private sectors such as Stanbic bank & other private sector players so as to create an enabling business environment inorder to enhance our goal competitiveness,industry, sustainable development & for the growth of our great country and African region.” He added.
