What the 3rd SRC Salary Review Means
The Salaries and Remuneration Commission periodically reviews remuneration and benefits for public officers to ensure legal compliance and sustainability within the national wage bill.
The 3rd Salary Review sought to standardize compensation structures across county governments while balancing fiscal responsibility. For employees, this translates to improved earnings and enhanced financial stability.
A Moment of Relief for County Workers
For many county employees, the February 2026 salary increment marks the end of months of waiting. The adjustments not only increase take-home pay but also signal government commitment to honoring structured remuneration reviews.
With the revised pay now in effect, attention will likely shift to monitoring compliance across all counties and ensuring smooth implementation without payroll discrepancies.
County staff are advised to confirm their payslips and seek clarification promptly where needed.
