A major breakthrough has been made in the investigation into the tragic murder of Kasipul Member of Parliament (MP), Charles Ong’ondo Were. Officers from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) have apprehended a key suspect believed to be directly involved in the brutal killing. The assailant then dismounted the bike, approached the MP’s window, and shot him four times at close range. The bullets struck the MP in the chest and hands. Despite the presence of a bodyguard and driver, the MP succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
